Introduction
C-NET was established as a joint investment between the University of Manchester and the North West Development Agency. With the advent of the new nuclear build the development of the necessary skills and infrastructure is vital to the nuclear industry. C-NET exists to support the nuclear energy industry in up-skilling the existing workforce, training a new generation of nuclear experts, and providing research facilities to leading industry bodies.
Our Aims
- Be a Centre of Excellence for the nuclear energy sector
- Improve the north-west’s nuclear skills base
- Integrate with other academic institutions in the region to promote research for industry
- Support new and existing firms to develop their capabilities for the new nuclear build
